Dreams to Reality

The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.

This is literally the stuff dreams are made of, but let me explain. I’m sitting here in the airport at Guangzhao, China.....

Palms sweating, legs shaking, mind racing, cheesing to myself.

Just patiently waiting to board this flight back to Los Angeles so that I can get to work with the team. We’re about to do something many people dream of, hope to and pray to accomplish in their lifetime. This has been such an interesting journey and I’m so happy to be able to experience the ups and downs of it all. Whats makes all of this even more crazy is that we’re literally just getting started...

I remember the first time we ever talked about this idea was a few years ago when Dev brought myself and Cornell to China to work with players out there. (Peep video below). Whenever all 3 of us were in the same room together, ideas and conversation just started flowing non stop. We came up with so many different ideas and concepts, a lot of which we executed that exact same year. I’ve been apart of many startups and companies, but the chemistry that we all have together is something I’ve never experienced before.  There is something about our team that is just “special”. When we are all together, we just get shit done and that’s so key for growing any type of business. On top of that we all compliment each other in a different way and it makes our team dynamic that much more DYNAMIC.

Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.

We’ve played with the idea seriously for over a year now of everyone in the ITL team moving in together. To create more content, generate new ideas, build the brand and just create something very special for years to come. With some of us living in different cities or countries in my case, sometimes it has been hard to accomplish the things we wanted to. But like with every problem we face in life..we face it head on and look for the solution. So over the past few months we’ve talked more and more about all of us taking this big risk. Renting a house in Los Angeles, living together and putting everything we have into growing ITL.

We honestly looked at hundreds of different houses, contacted over 50 of them and saw a handful in person. It’s tough finding something that suited the team in terms of location, the amount of rooms, space and price. Then April 30th came around and Dev sends us a messaging saying “we’re approved”.

We found a house that we liked, applied for it, said a prayer (literally) and god answered by giving us our first team house.

We got a fuckin’ team house...and I can’t apologize for my language because the excitement is too real. It hasn’t really even sunk in yet, but I know over the next 7 days as everyone moves in and we get settled this once dream will be reality. I can’t wait for us to share more with all of you and to have you see this journey we’re all on together unfold.

Let me leave you all with this, we’d be nowhere without the love and support from each and every one of you. From the entire ITL team, thank you. We promise to keep creating, inspiring and impacting lives around the world.

Your favourite brown guy, Nav.
